Not sure...I think it's for an email campaign and for them it's cost effective.

For their reqs, especially senior, most are not in LI

generic stuff in IT C++ software engineers, UX - vanilla stuff

You have people to talk to about the search. Is that right? And you don't have to pick up business on your own

Not for this RPO, but I have picked up business from healthcare, mostly rehab specialist - my clients were skilled nursing, outpatient, hospital, etc

Do you really find much online in healthcare? Nursing? Hospital personnel?

@maureen - for healthcare, no. these people are gainfully employed, especially staff. I have to call in, etc

@Animal - no, sink or swim, learn fast or they give the project to someone else

@Maureen, it's been a while, mostly Nurse Management - OR, ICU, Labor, ER for a geographic area. There's only so many in a given area

Management is easier - most will give you Director name or House supervisor. Staff takes a while

I just pitch, tell them I got their name by referral, apologize for calling them at office, ask for mobile so we can speak privately

I find they transfer me to the ER - then I have to ask who the Director is of someone in there – sometimes it's a madhouse.

 

I always forget pownce - you're recruiting as well.

I also find upper mgt like that (Directors) are often shielded by a secretary who is a pretty tough Gatekeeper ad wants to take a message for the Director…

I try not to get transferred to the Administrative - they ask too many questions. Better when I get transferred to a busy staff, they'll just tell you to get off the phone

How do you feel abt the recruiting function you're required to perform as a sourcer?

I miss the engagement with the candidates - pitch, listen to their situation, story, etc. If I do both, process takes longer

Most hospitals are now going VMO - vendor management stuff and they've cut down on fees to 3rd party. I wanted to do another industry; it's why I went the RPO to get industry exp

some projects are faster than others, especially if you cost more. For sourcing and recruiting, I think it's in range.

Oh.  For sourcing AND recruiting.  Still, it sounds (somewhat) guaranteed money.

 

I heard some tech sourcers are paid $80+

I find Internet sourcers working at $25-50 an hour nowadays. In this country.:-)

Outside the U.S. a paltry amount.

well, if you outsource to India, Philippines, it's less, but quality is questionable, especially if engagement is required. Just sourcing, not sure.
