11:47am bill josephson Hi Maureen....your topic today directly pertains to me/my business....glad I can attend this one
11:48am Maureen Sharib I thought of you as I was writing it out...did you read the entire post about today’s class topic?
11:50am bill josephson I can see I'll be contributing to that offshore outsourcing blog as well -Having some trouble posting here.....have to hit the enter button a few times before it shows up on the chat screen
11:51pm Maureen Sharib Make sure your cursor is at the end of your sentence before you hit enter...seems to help
11:59am Maureen Sharib Hi everyone and welcome to the MagicMethod Phone Sourcing chat!
12:00pm bill josephson If this is a split situation the usual is 50-50%. It is a tough market for candidates, however, and the sourcer is being asked to do a Hell of a lot, IMO
12:00pm Maureen Sharib That's what I thought. Like doing MOST of the process...
12:01pm Tom Cook Given the current economic climate its much harder to come up with a job order today then candidates to fill
12:01pm Maureen Sharib Have you all read the post on today's subject - it's posted here.
12:01pm Maureen Sharib Tom -in THAT space (security clearance)? Bill what do you think of Tom's assertion?
12:02pm Tom Cook I have never worked that space so that may be an exception
12:02pm bill josephson Tom is generally correct. However security cleared candidates are in demand as there's a shortage of them
12:02pm bill josephson Those jobs can't be offshore outsourced, either
12:03pm Maureen Sharib I would agree he is generally correct...but security clearance typically says "defense" to me and THAT is an extremely challenging space...
12:03pm Maureen Sharib Interesting point Bill - they can't be “offshored"...
12:04pm bill josephson The conversations I have with prospects are cryptic in nature. Very hard to reach, gain their confidence, and get information about them till they're certain you're not involved in espionage
