12:01pm Tom Cook This industry goes through downturns every few years. The bright spot is that these downturns shake out the pretenders.
12:01pm Maureen Sharib I saw a post on one of the Yahoo groups on Sunday...I think it was the "Secrets" group (Vincent Wright) and he was asking if you needed anyone's permission to "admit" to failure- thoughts? The group is called Linking and the Secret and you can visit that discussion here.

12:04pm Tom Cook Actually I had a good week last week. Got a call from a client I had not heard from since June. They gave me 4 days of work last week at $75/hr.

12:05pm Tom Cook My business is down almost 50% over the last 6 months - although I have to admit last year was a very good year.

12:06pm Maureen Sharib Tom - my business in the last two months is off MORE THAN 50%.
12:06pm Tom Cook Unfortunately these days I have a lot more time to do marketing

12:07pm Sam Medalie I think failure is the inability to make a good living and thus you have to live off your own money in the bank
12:07pm Denyse Diem how are you marketing yourself then...are you sowing seeds for the near future or farther out than that?
12:07pm Maureen Sharib In the Magic course I tell people when things are slow, or there's nothing at all going on, do OTHER THINGS.
