It's You and the Gatekeeper and the Battle of Wit.
You call in to a company and the information sounds fishy.
Or a chill runs up your back when the Gatekeeper answers your question.
It “feels” too easy.
The information you’re checking isn’t jiving with information you’re getting.
You’ve been hosed!
Once in a while even the best of us get fooled.
How does this happen?
It happens because you’ve hit a Gatekeeper who picked up your scent and gives you erroneous information on purpose!
How can you avoid this?
You can’t but practice will make it occur far more infrequently as you hone your phone voice to the message.
What can you do about it?
Check, check and recheck your information! As you do this new information (and usually more names!) will emerge as well.
