Phone sourcing is the quiet creeping about.

What is a generally accepted “finder's fee” for Mergers and Acquisitions?

Interesting Linkedin discussion going on now.
What is a generally accepted “finders fee” for Mergers and Acquisitions? In the course of my recruiting business I am, on occasion, asked to keep my eyes open for a company that would have some interest in being acquired. I cannot claim an expertise in M&A issues outside being very tapped into decision makers in my niche market. Therefore, my role in the process will likely be to make initial introductions and facilitate communications throughout the process. I want to request a fair fee for that level of service. Deals could range in size from $1,000,000 up to possibly $50,000,000.
