How long have you been in the recruiting industry?

Ten years

What do you think sourcing brings to the recruiting process?

I think that as the talent pool tightens, people who can source and find people outside the job boards are going to have a distinct advantage. They will have candidates that others can't find.

Do you think one type of sourcing produces better results than another? Which and why?

I believe in utilizing every method available...and I'm always glad to learn more.

Quick and Dirty - if you had six hours to source 50 Process Engineers in the chem/energy/food/pharma industry what would you do?

I'd use a combination of LinkedIn and Jigsaw as well as my company's internal database. Then I'd hit the phones.

If you had a week?

I'd include a search on Monster to find people to ask for referrals and do more phone work. Learning Boolean searches might help.
