I am just a phone sourcer, I really am concentrating all my efforts into name genration via the phone. If I can find someone who can generate names as well as I do, or even better, I want to know how they do it. I can hopefully gain some insight into the MAjic Methos. I do not believe there is no lying, or rusing involved, bit I will give this a shot.

How long have you been in the recruiting industry?
since 1986, I started learning form a firm in Troy Michigan, on the same day the shiuttle blew up, Jan. 1986
What trainers/resources/books have you found valuable to your career?
I learned what I know all from people, and have found zero resources in training or developing my research techniques. I want to teach others what I know and sell that as a service.
Do you have a product you'd like to promote to the sourcing/recruiting industry? What is it?
Training people to do what I do, also, start selling all of my research which has yet to be offered up in any database or other type of product line, yet!

What do you think sourcing brings to the recruiting process?
Wow, I have been told for many years that what I do "IS where rthe recruiting process often starts" I can get those names of hard to find, quality people, especialy in a down turn econmoy because the good people are still working,. The time to find those people and keep them is now. I can help get that process going.
Do you think one type of sourcing produces better results than another? Which and why?
Phone, because it is a snapshot taken of the targeted group as it stands that day...I get everyone in the group and I get them quickly. Why bother with internet searching, only as maybe a last resort, which 1% to maybe 2% of ther tiome I would have to fall back on. I usualyyl gerty hte gorup I want.
Quick and Dirty - if you had six hours to source 50 Process Engineers in the chem/energy/food/pharma industry what would you do?
I would do what I do best. Get thene names of those companies from my client, and pickl up the phone and start asking for those peole in that deparmtent. The restr is a trad esecret, but I would get people to give the most up r\to date list of "Process Engineers" that ARE CURRENTLY AT THAT COMPANY.

I WOULD BE DONE WITH THIS JOB WITHIN 1 BUSINESs DAY, AND SINCE i CHARGE BY T Thename and not by the HOUR MY CLient WOULd get those names and WOULD BE WORKING OIN ANOTHER PROJECT!
Where do you learn about name sourcing?
I learned from a group of 12 guys that were all siting in a room, doninbg the same basic rusing and I would INCORPORATE ALL OF WHAT THEY COULD TEACXH ME, AND PERFECTED MY STYLE. I was put into direct competition with one or two guys, and we perfected out technicques through many days of just picking up the phone and battling it out with the poeple oin the phone and the guys I was competing with,. This comaony was called IRG in the 80;'s but waS SOLD OFF OTO hARTE haNKES ION THE 90'S AND THEY EVENTUALLY KKILLED THA PART OF THE COMPANY.
